Miss California USA®, Miss New York USA®, Miss New York Teen USA® and others Created Lockerz Collections and were Outfitted Head-to-Toe with Boy Meets Girl Fashion
NEW YORK CITY—May 10, 2012—Lockerz, the leader in rewarded social commerce, and its chief fashion editor Stacy Igel of Boy Meets Girl fame, hosted seven pageant beauties in an evening of creativity and style. The young women gathered in the Boy Meets Girl showroom in Manhattan last evening. They were introduced to the Lockerz experience of creating collections of photos, images and videos, then sharing them with friends. At the same time Igel was working one-on-one to create casual, stylish looks with Boy Meets Girl apparel and accessories and provide general fashion and beauty tips.
"I love the fact that we get to shop, create our own stories and get rewarded for doing what we love already on the web," Johanna Sambucini, Miss New York USA.
Attendees included:
“It was a pleasure to outfit these incredibly poised and gracious young women in Boy Meets Girl,” said Igel. “I also enjoying seeing how quickly they mastered the Lockerz experience of building and sharing Collections. It was second nature to them and their energy was inspiring.”
Lockerz and Stay Igel recently joined with Lockerz as the exclusive e-commerce destination for Boy Meets Girl Merchandise, and Igel appointed as chief fashion editor. The Lockerz team and Igel are working together to promote and develop the Boy Meets Girl brand and merchandise assortment leveraging insights from the Lockerz social commerce platform and millions of members.
Lockerz members collect and share photos, images and videos, which become “Decalz,” from anywhere on the Web. Retail brands like Boy Meets Girl can now use Lockerz to market test their assortments and plan inventory based on real-time, targeted customer behavior. For example, as Boy Meets Girl develops its seasonal assortments, new product categories or special designs, it can post Decalz of complete looks or items, then track the number of “grabs” to gauge popularity and better predict sales. With thousands of “grabs” per day, this is a highly informative, scalable and cost-efficient way to test any idea or concept among 13 to 30-year-olds.
